OUR WINES
Our Wines
Tradition and technology in perfect harmony!
Our wines mature on the slate soils of the Middle Mosel and are lovingly attended to with constant care in the vineyard and in the cellar by our family. This gives our wines the unmistakable fresh, floral, fruity taste typical of the Mosel.
Our goal is to create complex but easy to drink wines that are a good value for money for our customers.
We achieve this goal primarily in the vineyard; for example through quality-oriented pruning, careful soil cultivation, intensive foliage work and careful selection of the grapes.
The work in the cellar begins immediately after harvest. Our white wines are gently pressed according to traditional methods and fermented exclusively in stainless steel containers so the terrior and the vineyard finds their purest expression in the glass.
Our red wines are fermented for up to three weeks in open containers in the whole-cluster process. Careful punch downs of the skins allow the beautiful red color to be pulled from the grape skins into the wine. Particularly promising red wines are then matured in 225-liter small oak barrels to achieve an ideal full-bodied, yet delicate profile.
The Sekt (German sparkling wine) is of course hand crafted according to the traditional bottle fermentation method – hand-riddled and with perfect bubbles, so that it serves as a perfect companion for a family celebration or an elegant party.
No matter which of our wines appeals to you personally, we wish you lots of fun with our wine. Cheers!
