2017 Dornfelder Barrique
Dark red in color. On the nose and on the palate, we find notes of cherries, plums and violet typical to the varietal. The fruit flavors are perfectly balanced with the typical notes of oak barrique – especially vanilla and a smokey caramel. Medium to long finish.
A light red wine that can also be enjoyed when the weather gets warmer. Pairs well with game dishes including wild boar, venison, duck and pheasant. Can also accompany soft cheeses such as brie very nicely.
