2022 Spätburgunder Barrique
A cherry red color with garnet accents, which excellently reflects the 12 months the wine spent in neutral French oak barrels.
On the nose, the fruit aromas are clear and typical of Pinot Noir, augmented with hints of French oak – vanilla, caramel and smokiness the is reminiscent of a fine Scottish whisky.
On the palate this Mosel Pinot Noir shows us wonderfully integrated acidity and a mouth feel that is not too dry despite having almost no residual sugar. Very pleasant tannins and the distinctive barrique undertone make this Pinot Noir an ideal companion for pork and game dishes.
