Grown on the slate-covered slopes below the sundial in the Mosel-side village of Maring-Noviand.

A striking yellow in color, with platinum highlights.  This cool vintage Kabinett presents notes of wet slate on the nose, set against an ever-present backdrop of dried apricots, pineapple and orange blossom.

A restrained sweetness avoids being overpowering.  In addition to the aromas of apricot and pineapple the palate is reenforced by a sweet citrus tone that pairs extremely well with spicy foods, such as Indian or Thai dishes, particularly those with tropical fruit-driven sauces. The natural sweetness of the wine softens the spice and brings out a rounder tone in the food.
